015 – Who Creates Stress In Our Life? Who Is Responsible?
Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. I hope you are doing great in your corner of the World! Let’s breathe and smile. What a beautiful day.
I’d like to continue with the topic of stress, but today we will look at it from a different angle:
Who Creates Stress In Our Life?

Can you flex your arm? I am sure you can. For how long can you hold it flexing? I don’t know your time, but I can promise that at some point you will get tired. Why? Because flexing your arm is, actually, putting your biceps against your own triceps. Simple as that. I think everybody understands it.
What people often miss here, is that in order for us to feel strong and burly, we do fight with ourselves. We clench our fists and teeth, we get tense. And just like with arm flexing, we put our own force against ourselves.
I understand, this is a natural reflex. It was built in us as a part of survival mechanism. We do need physical readiness when we feel danger. However, this mechanism was not designed to be used all day every day, like many people do.
My message for today is simple. Who creates stress in our life? We do. We create our own fatigue, not the outside stressors.
It is not always that easy to deal with, I know. I am in the same boat with you. I am human, and I have do deal with every day issues like everybody else, including Zen teachers. That’s why I can speak for that, and I can teach that.
So stay tuned, I will be sharing many other tips about dealing with stress, and keeping the balance.
On my web site hpln.org you will find the schedule of classes I teach, as well as links to my audio and video channels.
Thanks for tuning in! Now let’s breathe and smile. Life is good!
I will talk to you next time.
PEACE!
Jin
