Yes, today is a Turkey Day! Even though I don’t like turkey, I still celebrate the day. Funny that I’ve heard so many people say, “I am an immigrant, I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving.” Many people think that it is an American holiday.
Well, it is now. But don’t you forget that the first Thanksgiving was celebrated in the US in 1621 by pilgrims, who were in fact immigrants from Europe. So actually it is an immigrants’ holiday, whether you like it or not, which later became a US Federal Holiday.
But I think regardless of whose holiday this is, it’s a great time to express Gratitude.
I’d like to take a moment to say Thanks. My life, or yours, or every human being’s life is a result of combined efforts of people around us.
I’d will forever be indebted to my parents. Somebody said that the debt to your parents can never be paid off. I am grateful for my family, and for the support I’ve been getting all these years.
I am grateful to my teachers, to everybody from my kindergarten up to now. I have not finished learning, and I still have teachers, coaches and mentors who help me to learn.
I am grateful for my friends, everybody who helped me on my journey, and who still helps me to move on!
Even for the turbulence I’ve had in my life. Some people call it problems, I may call it growing pains. I am just moving to the next level. Perhaps something I thought I really wanted is being replaced by something I did not even know I needed. I am thankful for that.
My friend, what are you grateful for? Think about it for a minute. Happy Thanksgiving to you, and thank you for tuning in today! You can subscribe to my podcast on my site HPLN.org. Now let’s breathe and smile. I will talk to you next time.
PEACE!
