I think many people have heard the concept of sowing and reaping. I am not going into discussion of the Biblical origin of this particular saying. Whatever you believe, it doesn’t matter. You may believe in Karma. The fact is, whatever you give, you will get back. And I think this is something that comes in mind when we hear about sowing and reaping.
But there’s more to that than just return on investment. I think this may be quite interesting to entrepreneurs.
The farmer is going through three stages in business. Sowing is quite busy time. He has to prepare good soil, sow the seeds of what he wants the harvest to be, fertilize. Everything on faith.
Then during growing stage he has to wait. And wait. And wait. There’s no such thing as overnight harvest.
But the busiest time is actually reaping the harvest. Now the farmer is blessed with a result much greater than what he invested. But he has to work.
I think we are going through the same stages in whatever endeavor we choose. Remember these points:
– Sow the seeds of what you would like to reap. And do this totally on faith.
– Make sure your soil is good and well fertilized.
– Remember, growing takes time. There’s no overnight success.
– Keep in mind that for a while you won’t see any results. Please, don’t get frustrated. This is a universal law. So don’t quit.
– And when you finally see results, you may be required to work. The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. Are you ready to work?
Hope this makes sense.
Now let’s breathe and smile. Thanks for stopping by. I will talk to you next time.
PEACE!
