Perfect Time to talk about Perfect Timing!
Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. Hope you are having a terrific morning! Let’s breathe and smile.
I’d like to talk about one concept I though of recently.
What are we doing with our life? I don’t mean your job, school or whatever. Look at people! They are running circles every day. Get up in the morning, run to work or school, run through the day, then come home exhausted and the only thing they can do to avoid living past day in their memories again is to drink beer or wine and watch somebody’s life on TV. That was Monday. Repeat it Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Friday is different: Get up put the trash out and then run to work. Wow! what a variety.
I am not saying everybody’s like that. But majority of people I’ve met, were. And trust me, I’ve been one of them, with the exception that I don’t drink alcohol. But TV or even better, computer games, used to be an adequate substitute for minor domestic drugs.
As we run this Circle of life, most of the time we live in one of two dimensions: dreams and fantasies about the future or happy memories and regrets about the past. There’s only one moment in between. The Present. The Life.
We go through the whole life, and any time we stop and look around, that moment is called NOW. Very powerful life-long moment. The longest moment. We can change our entire life if we stop wandering between past and future, and just act now. In fact, any time we do something, we do it now.
An old man told me several decades ago, you blink your eyes, and the moment is gone. You blink again, and your whole life is gone before you know it. The present moment lasts a lifetime. But it’s so short. So’s life. Don’t waste it wandering.
Hope it makes sense.
Thanks for stopping by.
