Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. I hope you are doing great in your corner of the World!

Well, I’ve experienced that myself. And I’ve seen a lot of other people who went through that as well. Let me describe you the anatomy of this process.
When people hear a motivational message or read a good motivational book, they get some really good positive emotions. Yes, we can do it! We’ll do it by yesterday.
However, as I learned from John Maxwell, “motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing.” Success is not difficult in any endeavor, discipline is. And what I’ve seen happen, people get so excited from a good positive motivational speech, but then they realize that it takes work to get where they want to go. And after a while positive emotion may become bitter, negative, and even depressing. The person get a mix of bitterness with the self-blaming for not doing anything. Unless, here’s the unless part, unless the person is willing to keep going. It is not the positive motivation that keeps you feeling good. It is moving towards your goals.
So my message today is very simple: set your goals and keep moving towards them. Get a coach if you need, but don’t stay in one spot. It is better to burn out than rust out. Think about that.
