Do you know that fleas, yes, those jumping little bugs, can jump over 80 times their own height. If humans could jump like fleas, they could jump over 480 feet heigh! Incredible!
In the experiment, bunch of fleas were placed in the glass jar covered with a lid. The jar was shaken periodically, and fleas were jumping, and jumping, and jumping, and hitting the lid. After a while, the fleas realized there was a lid on the jar. So they stopped jumping. When the jar was shaken later even with the lid off, fleas were not jumping any more. They lost their belief.
You see, humans often behave the same way. If we have some kind of an invisible ceiling above us, maybe it is a job that does not allow us to reach our potential, or maybe some other circumstances, life, family, etc., or maybe it was a series of failures that caused a lack of belief, then if we get a real opportunity we may not believe that there’s no ceiling above us. That ceiling was just an imaginary limitation we have in our mind. Think about that!
My friends, no matter where you are in life, I am sure you can jump higher than you think you can. And let me tell you a little secret: I can jump higher too. How do I know? I have a coach who tells me that I can and helps me to learn to jump higher. So if you feel you are hitting an invisible ceiling, get yourself a coach. Just a thought…
