Decision to Implement a Critical Life Update
Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. I hope you’re having a magnificent day! Let’s breathe and smile!
Yes, I missed the hit. I can only blame myself for poor judgment and not adjusting on time.
But I survived, though I lost the control for a few moments. Just imagine the person on a very steep mountain trail riding a bike downhill, trying to avoid riding into a tree, getting knocked down by the tree branch or getting off the cliff. Yep, that was me for a while.
I was going downhill at 200 mph, metaphorically speaking, of course, and trying not to die. Until I finally got a moment to slow down, regroup, take a deep breath, look back and look at myself. And I did not necessarily like what I saw. That was when I got the idea of 50-50-25 campaign.
Here’s 50-50-25:
- First 50 is my age. Yes, I just turned 50 last year. That is 5 – 0. I know, people tell me I sound like I am 30 and I often behave like I am 15. That’s a different talk for another time.
- The second 50 is the number of pounds I lost between April and October last year, just before my birthday. That was intentional, a goal of my little endeavor.
- Finally, 25. You can interpret it in two different ways: the age I feel, or how many years younger I feel. Either way it will be the same. But yes, I do feel like I am 25. Perhaps not looking exactly the way I used to look back then…
Yep, that’s me on both pictures. And if you want to know more, listen to the podcast… Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for stopping by.
