About Unconditional Giving…
Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. Hope life is treating you great! Let’s breathe and smile.
Many years ago I read a story story about a man who was going through the desert. He was walking for a long time with no food and very little water. At some point he noticed a dark object on the sand far away. As he came close, he found a stranger who was almost unconscious. The stranger asked for some water. But the man did not have much, so he did not give it to the stranger and left.
When the man crossed a large sand dune, he found a nice lake on the other side. After he got some rest in the shade, he remembered a poor stranger who was on the other side of the dune. The man got some water and went to find the stranger. And he did, but the stranger was already dead.
My friend, sometimes we walk through life, and it does feel like a desert. We may feel lost, and we may believe that we have nothing to give. But what happens if we see somebody who has a greater need? Can we help or will we wait until there’s nobody around us any longer? After all, life is not about how much we can get from the World. It is about how much we can give, isn’t it?
I truly believe that ability to give is the one of the highest forms of blessing the man can receive. God gives us a chance. He thinks we still got enough goodness in us to share with others, in spite of all of our mistakes and failures.
Think about that.
