040 – Mindful Life Coaching with Jin: Master the mouth gate to your life

One of my coaches said that the mouth gate is the hardest one to master. And I agree.
Over a decade ago I read the book called “What to say when you talk to yourself?”
The author stated that 75% of conversation is talking to ourselves.
“Oh, I forgot that again..”
“Oh, I am so clumsy..”
“That won’t work for sure”
“Such a dumb idea..”
Does any of this sound familiar? I used to work for big companies, and this is what I heard all the time.
“How are you doing?”
“Eeeeeh, not so good”
We are so programmed by the society to say these things that we don’t even think. And if we say them, then we program our brain to say and to hear that. As I said before, our brain does not care. If you say you are not doing good, guess what? You won’t. Brain will make you feel not so good even if you were doing great. Now you get a vicious circle.
The only way out is to start saying positive things even if it sounds weird first. I am always doing great! I think everybody is doing great, not everybody understands it. If you doubt, count your blessings, and you’ll see.
I use goal cards and positive affirmation cards that I read out loud every day. Sounds silly? Perhaps. But I truly believe we are hung by the tongue. And it helps to reduce negativity. Think about that.
