Mindful Creations As A Path Of Mindfulness
Good morning, folks! I am Jin with Morning Mindfulness Podcast. I hope you’re having a fabulous day! Let’s breathe and smile!
Today is the third lesson I’d like to share with you. Like the other two, it came to me after carving the coin past weekend.
The legendary sculptor, painter and the poet, Michelangelo, said, that he was not carving the stone sculpture. The sculpture had always been inside, and he was just removing what was not needed.
You know, I did the same. I did not bring anything into the World. I removed what I did not need from that coin.
Here’s what I got:
Many years ago, Zen teacher told me, people are trying to get somewhere, or achieve something by means of meditation. But all they need is to realize that they are already where they need to be, when they need to be. This is called “Here and Now” in many mindfulness practices.
One of my favorite sayings is “Everybody is doing great. Not everybody understands it.”
So, whatever you and I plan to do in life, we don’t need anything extra. We are sufficient. We have everything it takes to be what we want to be.
However, there’s a whole bunch of junk that is blocking our true self. A lot of fear, doubt, judgment and self-inflicted misery. And then we start thinking that we don’t have what it takes. But we do. All we need, is to realize that we already where we need to be. Remove what’s not needed. Cap the negative. Believe in yourself, and get out of your own way.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for stopping by.
